dataBuddha Guides do not represent software publishers, but our company has for many years published some reporting software tools that embody the essence of dataBuddha's teaching. For nearly two decades, this reporting software tool has been distributed around the world as R&R Report Writer®. As publisher, we have continually enhanced its functions and now renamed it to reflect that the software does more than just write reports.
ReportWorks includes tools for cataloging and describing your databases, which is a critical first step to learning how to instruct the in your service. This software also delivers the tools to deploy reports and distribute the output in a way variety of methods. ReportWorks has many data manipulation and delivery capabilities not found in any other tool, and works with virtually any kind of database.
A single-user license retails for $600, with discounts for 5- and 10-user licenses and up. But with just one license, you can distribute the reports you create to everyone in your organization, so they can gain information enlightenment whenever they need to produce their reports.
WebReports
When you wish to allow your customers, vendors or others to access via the Internet the reports you have created, WebReports is the right tool. This software resides on your server and delivers dynamically-generated reports directly to the end-user's web browser, where they can view and print the output with all data, text and graphics.
A server license is $3000, which includes the right to distribute the browser-based software to anyone to whom you allow access to the reports. (Compare this low cost to the license fees for internet reporting options of competitive products.)
